A sickness can be just about anything, from a simple cold to worrying. That’s what this post is about, worrying. Worrying about your bills or if you’re going to be on time is for the birds. Leave it at the door. There is no real reason to worry about what you can not change or fix. Don’t worry because you can fix this problem.

I have a problem of worrying too much. Over thinking shit all the time. It pisses me off sometimes because I know I shouldn’t be worrying. Most of my worries are over money. I’m sure most of yours are too. We worry that we may not have enough or that some emergency is going to come up and what if we can’t take care of it? We all need to relax more. Anxiety is a killer and worrying is anxiety. We’ll never truly know what is going to happen, so there is no reason to worry about it.

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? - Matthew 6:27

We may not know how to solve our worry anxiety, but if we focused our thoughts on something more important, like our family, we’ll feel more happier. Isn’t that what we all want, happiness is the crazy little world of ours? Worrying will keep us from true happiness and true happiness will not reveal itself unless our worry anxiety is released. The only one to release that anxiety is you. Here is three steps to stop worrying so much.

  1. Take your mind off your worry and focus on something else. Try having a conversation with someone about a totally different subject.
  2. Go for a walk, particularly a nature walk. Being around the trees will help level you out like water in a cup.
  3. Take a nap. Getting rest will help clear your mind. The better rested you are the more productive thoughts you’ll have.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change and the courage to change the things I am able to and give me the wisdom to know the difference between the two.

Live one day at at time and one moment at a time and accept hardships as a pathway to peace, joy and happiness. Take this world as it is... Amen.

Go ahead and repeat those lines if you feel the need to. Try doing those three steps until you feel refreshed. God will grant you the serenity. Calm your mind. My office at work houses a picture with the words serenity and reminds me to relax. Let’s give those steps a shot and let the Lord do what he does best - fix our problems.


On another thought, the post about my book will be coming soon. Sooner than later. Get your mind out of worry mode and accept the things you cannot change. Love life as you have it because you never know when your last breath will come. And it’s worth saying, your last breath will come.
