Every day we wake up, we have an opportunity to create the life we dream of. It doesn’t take much for us to make the choice to be who you want to be. It starts with just simply making the choice to do it. Remember, there is no try, you either do or do not!

I made the choice to wake up at 4:30 this morning so that I could get a jump start on my day. So far, I’ve done the research I was planning on doing and now I am starting this post with new insights of the world. Those insights are technology based and I do not plan on going through them here, in case you are wondering. Waking up was simple and I’m going to tell you how I accomplished the task of getting out of bed when you only just went to bed 3 hours ago.

I didn’t tell myself "when your alarm goes off you're going to get up." I did, however, tell myself I wanted to get up at 4:30 to get a jump start on what I expected to be a busy day. I only made one change and it was because of that change I got up when I did this morning. It makes me wonder, though, what else I could accomplish with simply making minor changes in my day. I could sit here and process how I could be more productive throughout the day with moving things around. Now, I don’t think changing the temperature in my shower would suffice, I really like my very warm showers. So that is out of the question, I could grab what I plan to wear tomorrow and set it out, that would save me a few minutes in the morning. But, I like my routine so I think I’ll continue with grabbing my clothes in the a.m., I usually make my coffee just before, anyway. Rituals.

The reason I wanted to jump start my day is because I wanted to bang out a couple extra post this week. In order to do so, I have to write them two to three days ahead. That means, by the time you read this post it’s probably three days old. It’s old news and I’m probably on to something new and challenging. Challenging yourself from time to time lets you know you’re still alive and kicking. It’s a good thing to make little random changes so that you don’t feel like your days are running together. The reality is that life is exactly what you make it. Let’s make a conscious choice to make the life we dream of a reality and do it every day. Let’s start by waking up at the same time every day and getting a jump-start on our day regardless if you plan it to be a busy day or not!

How to wake up at the same time every day?

This is the moment you all been waiting for. I’ve done this simple method many times in my life and it’s worked every time. No affirmation over and over again, just let your subconscious mind know what time you want to wake up, then set your alarm for that time. After you’ve done that, do this, because we all know your alarm clock is sitting on the table right next to your bed. Move it across the room. Yep, that’s all you need to do, move your alarm clock across the room so when it goes off, you have to get up to turn it off. Once you’ve gotten up to turn the annoying thing off, you’ll remind yourself that you wanted to get up. Then, because of you're already up, you’ll more than likely stay up. So, go and grab your coffee or tea, which every drink you prefer, and jump start your day.
